Five members of the Eastside Audubon did our monthly survey of the China Creek golf course at the Newcastle Golf Club from 0730-1100 this morning, Feb. 28. Our highlight of the morning was seeing a gorgeous RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD. It was seen in brush on the upper left of hole #4 and a confirmation photo was taken. The earliest we saw one there last year was in April. Other highlights were a PEREGRINE FALCON that flew right over us and a COMMON RAVEN.
