First bird of the year was a RED-TAILED HAWK on a light post next to the
freeway on the way home from church this morning. First yard bird was a
GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW.

One of my fellow church goers had 4 GREAT HORNED OWLS hooting this
morning. What a great way to start the year!
