My first bird of the year, as expected, was an ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD coming to my feeder as it was just starting to get light. As an added plus for 2012, a subadult male showed up today for the first time and made repeated visits to the feeder. I'm hoping he'll stay around long enough for me to see him when he acquires full adult plumage.
