This afternoon on the trail out to the boardwalk an American Bittern hunted
and posed alongside the trail for a half-hour or more. It seemed completely
oblivious to the crowds of people almost within arms reach. Amazing.

Also amazing to see were 50+ (!) Bald Eagles in the trees along Nisqually
River. We counted 21 eagles in one tree alone!
