Hello Tweeters,
Not FOY, but we had a nice visitor today.
We usually entertain about 30-40 "Oregon" Dark-eyed Juncos in our yard during the winter. I try to look through them occasionally, and today found a "Slate-colored" Dark-eyed Junco. This is the second sighting for our yard, we had one about ten years ago.
Maybe someday the slpitters will win out over the lumpers and I will have a new species for the yard.
Wishful thinking.
