i for one find the corvids to be intelligent, inquisitive, and often both
exasperating and amusing. kinda like people in spades. for the past few
weeks, the snoqualmie valley has been filled with crows meeting up here and
there and chatting about whatever it is that crows chat about ('you come
here often?', 'love yr feathers', etc). which brings up the question
whatever happened to the horrible west nile disaster that was going to
strike all crows dead and leave a great hole in the ecosystem? maybe those
big pharma doomsayers aren't so smart after all.
