Hi All: Got an early daylight ferry home (Pt. Defiance to Vashon) and saw 39 murres - 33 flying east in groups of 3-6. Also six on the water and one group of eight rhinos. Only murres were flying. Chop was bad and difficult to see birds on the water. Numbers remind me of the early 1990's.
Last Sunday there were 10 murres and scattered rhinos in close at Point Robinson.
Just wondering if anyone else is seeing many alcids in the south sound? If so please ebird your observations or send them to me and I can enter them.
