Tweeters, The Black-crowned Night-Heron discovered last summer is still active by at least one bird which I observed late this afternoon at the Josephine Retirement Facility in downtown Stanwood. The roost is best viewed about 50 feet north of the intersection of 273rd place NW and 100th Ave. NW looking East just over the roof of the retirement facility at the only evergreen that protrudes above the courtyard of the facility. The times I have viewed Night-Herons here, the view is mostly obscured so you will not be getting steller views of the bird. Michael WillisonStanwood
