Friday, Jan. 6, I went up to Boundary Bay to take in the Snowy Owl extravaganza, and I was not disappointed. There were about 25 Snowies out from the dike near 72nd St. At one point I could see 15 at once. Seven or eight of them were within 100 feet of the dike, so that one with a zoom or telephoto lens could easily get good photographs, and I mean GOOD photographs, without leaving the dike. There were about fifteen other people with cameras, and I'm happy to say that they were all well-behaved and stayed on the dike, leaving the owls where they found them.
