There was a LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL on the orange booms at the north end of
Banks Lake this afternoon. The bird is an adult with a medium dark back and
bright yellow legs. With a good scope you may be able to view the bird from
the North Dam Park, or you can walk across the dam and afford yourself
closer looks. The birds move around quite a bit, and the primary roosting
spot is on the booms above Grand Coulee Dam so it might take some looking to
locate this one.

There were also several Thayer's Gulls (both immature) and a 1w
Glaucous-winged Gull moving around the north end of the lake near the dam

A Gyrfalcon was on a power pole shortly after the cut-off to Ephrata along
SR-17
