Today my wife and I observed prehaps ten or more Common Redpolls associating with many Pine Siskins on the main loop trail in Discovery Park just a hundred or so feet south of the intersection with Utah Ave. They were moving low and slow through the many short deciduous trees, dropping to the ground from time to time and offering killer views of their red foreheads and black goatees. It was awesome to have the flock moving all around us and overall a beautiful day to be at the park.
