Dear Tweeters,

Today (8 January 2012) I struck out on a search for various special birds in Skagit County. However, I did manage to take some horrid photos of an interesting loon at Washington Park in Anacortes.

The loon was trying hard to look like a Yellow-billed Loon, but I am not at all sure what it was. As it was, there were a few each of the Common, Red-throated, and Pacific Loons out there.

My camera battery went kaputt during the attempt to upload the photos, so I will probably add a few more photos to the Flickr page when I figure out how to proceed.
