Another bird window around the pool strike...this time, a Female Red-shafted Flicker. We have a family that has been nesting and living here for years and has also been doing an outstanding job aerating our lawn this year.
Let's hope, like with the Belted Kingfishers, this doesn't ruin the main breeding pair.... I think this one may have been chased into the window. They are really good about avoiding this surround and are uber familiar with the territory.
