Hello,

Early this morning, I spent a few hours birding on Mt Spokane. Not many
species, but the ones I did see were notable.

At the four way intersection up on top (where the restrooms are and the
right takes you to Selkirk Lodge) was a small flock of COMMON REDPOLLS and
two GRAY JAYS. Nearby were Chestnut backed Chickadees and Red breasted
Nuthatch.

As you proceed straight towards the ski resorts and pass under the second
power line, you will come to a long wide pullout on the right with some
deciduous trees close to the road, Over the period of 30 minutes in this
spot, I found a very cooperative N Pygmy Owl, a Hairy Woodpecker, a large
flock of Pine Siskins, 2 Red Crossbills and 4 WHITE WINGED CROSSBILLS that
flew off and returned several times. This is one of two places where I had
the White wings back in December.

Blessings
