At least seven are still there as of early this afternoon.? The surrounding residential area is chock full of carduelines? favorite trees, both alders and birches, and the siskins/goldfinches/redpolls are ranging fairly widely from tree to tree.? I first had them today in a birch two houses north along the waterfront from the ?beach.?? They were not associating with goldfinches or siskins, which were both in the area.
?
The park is reached? by turning east onto Grattan St. from Seward Park Ave in Rainier Beach.? It is easily found using Google maps.
?
Thank you, Catherine, for posting that these birds, first noted on the FANTASTIC area CBC, are still around.? I had given up since the last time we met out there!
