Subject: [Tweeters] Gyrfalcon near US/Canada Border

At 4:15 pm on Thursday, I saw a GYRFALCON at Blackie Spit Park in Surrey,
BC, Canada (http://www.venturevancouver.com/blackie-spit-park-surrey). The
Gyr flew in from the northwest, attempted to take a Double-crested
Cormorant mid-air, and then flew off to the west/southwest.

I realize this is not in Washington, but I thought it might be of interest,
as Blackie Spit is on the southeast side of Boundary Bay, not far from
where all the Snowy Owls are.

If someone has the ability to post on the relevant list-serv for BC, please
feel free to forward this.
