I?ve seen this series forwarded several times now. The snake doesn?t look like a gopher snake to me. There?s one picture that shows the head quite clearly and it doesn?t have the typical markings of a gopher snake. Could it be some subspecies of Elaphe obsoleta? Maybe the Texas Rat Snake?
