Hi Tweeters,

I had some observations that I wanted to pass along and see if anyone had thoughts. This year at night-I live on the Brady Loop Road near the coast, I have heard far more
night bird activity that I don't ever recall hearing before this time of year. Ducks and geese have always made some noise but this year I hear the whole gamut from birds flustered and flying to ducks happily "chuckling" and interacting with normal chatter and wing-beating bathing. What is puzzling are Bald Eagles calling at 2-3am.

First off, not dreaming of bird calls all night : ) I wonder if all the birds are stirred because of predatory activity? Are the eagles hunting at night?

Daytime I see less waterfowl than usual and had thought it was human hunting activity keeping them away.

Perhaps just a flux in nighttime migration I missed before?
