Snow brought the first Varied Thrush songs to the yard this morning. One thing I love about the snow is that it removes a lot of the cars from the roads, so it's easier just to sit quietly and hear what flies by - Purple Finch, House Finch, Flicker, a distant Pileated Woodpecker, Steller's Jay, and so many Juncos!

Quiet as snow in Renton, and loving it.
