I was birding along the Edmonds Marsh early this afternoon (1-16-12).
As I walked along the sidewalk on the east side of the marsh (Edmonds
Way), I noticed a small flock of Golden-crowned Sparrows, American
Goldfinches, and Spotted Towhees feeding on some red berries that
looked to be in the nightshade family. A White-throated Sparrow was
among them.
