Guy,Do it. Of course your going to get quite a few comments and of course everyone is not going to be happy with the sign. My advice from being a manager for many years is, take the plunge and wait for the outcome. I don't think it will be over the top. However, my comment is: take the "their survival depends on it" out, and leave the rest the same. By the way thanks for taking the initiative!! Doug ParrottEdmonds Wa.bird_cage at msn.com

Subject: [Tweeters] Snowy Owl sign for Damon Point

Hey Tweets,
Getting back to this:

I have received pledges for a few $$, and it does not sound like it will be an issue to post a sign out on Damon Point.
(Or this may be a case of "It is better to beg forgiveness than ask permission")
And I have a tip about a place that will make a sign.

Now the tough part - Wording.

I asked around, and this is approximately what the sign says up on Boundary Bay, so lets start from there:

"Please keep a reasonable distance from the Snowy Owls; their survival depends on it. Remember, if you get so close to an owl that it flushes, you are too close!"

Please send me any suggested changes offline. And please let me know how you feel this.
If I get piles of negative comments, I will let it go. But I got enough pledges (and therefore supported interest) to at least feel justified in contining to try to get a sign posted.
Once I get one created, I will worry about getting out there to place it ;) Just not in the next couple of days! ;)
