Have gotten nothing but good comments, I have compiled ideas and here is my next version of the Snowy Owl sign for Damon point.? Please feel free to Email more suggestions.
Most of the previous comments were about the "their lives depend on it".? After some thought, I think this wording is a good compromise.

I have had a suggestion for a small clip-art graphic of a flying owl with a red 'X' thru it as well.
More eye-catching and "one picture is worth a thousand words'.? If the sign company can find a clip-art example quickly, they can incorporate it into the sign for the same price.? Cool!? can anyone find such an example of clip art?? I've not had much luck ....

I have a quote for 4 signs, size 12 by 18, made of a poly-metal composite, for $100.
They should last at least a couple of months out on the trail.
Gives us a few spares, and maybe can have some available for the next time the owls show up at the point ..
