Sherry and I ventured down to Woodburn OR to Linda?s house to see the Brambling. We arrived a little after 10:00am and waited an hour for it to show. It made its showing around 11:00am, appearing out of nowhere, but we got great close views. Linda?s yard is very active with birds, and in good numbers. We tallied 17 species just in her back yard. Birders are welcome. There is an awning and chairs to sit and watch the bird activity. We thank Linda for her hospitality. Anyone interested, the address is 1015 Orchard Ln, Woodburn OR. As long as the gate to the back yard is open, you?re welcome to enter.
On our way home, we stopped at the old fire station (in Portland) on Marine Dr. for the SNOW BUNTING that has been hanging around for over a month. We found it right away by the fence line feeding.
