Funny, I thought everyone knew about this! I'll have to get better about sharing info from my multiple memberships. I first heard about it via the Orca Network, both on their Facebook page and their regular listserv. My wife just informed me of this. Has anyone heard of a Ribbon Seal being photographed a mile from the mouth of the Duwamish?

I know this guy (or gal) doesn't have feathers, but it's an exciting visit from a rare Arctic visitor nonetheless. "The ribbon seal hasn't been seen again since it was first spotted last week." Keep your eyes open while birding in West Seattle!
