This morning I had 7 Horned Larks along Hwy 14 (Washougal) near the turn off for the Best Western along where there is scattered straw on the bare dirt due to hwy construction. Then in the parking lot of Steigerwald NWR were 2 Horned Larks along the edges of the grass and parking area. Horned Larks are tough in Clark County. They may be here due to the flooding in Oregon/Washington combined with the ice storm in the Columbia River Gorge.
