Hi -
The Northern hawk-owl was at the northwest corner of McLaughlin and Prewitt Roads in West Plains, Spokane County today, 1/22/12, between 1:30 and 2:00 PM. The bird started out in the big locust tree east of the house at Mt. View Acres (26203 Prewitt), the house just northwest of the corner of Prewitt and McLaughlin, then moved into the aspens in the draw just west of the house.

There were two coveys of gray partridge in the area too - one on McLaughlin about a mile south of Prewitt and one at the corner of Crescent and Landreth.
