Thanks for the tip, Jean. I was looking at some of those stickers and reading the
dimensions. I was wondering how much those little 4X4 stickers were going to do on a
'building wide', 2-story wall of glass. I think I'm going to go with my original plan.
I'm going to get some phosphate based cleaning liquid, and soak some light, white shear
curtains in it, and hang those on the inside. S/b clear or at most only barely visible
to us, yet end up as an opaque wall for them.



The stickers are quick and easy, and I'll give 'em a lash. But I think something more
encompassing is going to get needed to do this right.



We have been getting a lot of Pine Siskins at the feeder-so there's no shortage of them.
But I only had the rare and occasional Kinglet. It was a heartbreaker to lose a fully
adult, Golden-Crowned female like that. So, I gotta do something! Now!

As an aside; I think I got a glimpse of a Snowy Owl yesterday. If the weather holds,
I'll be down there quartering the area trying to get more than a passing glimpse today.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I purchased some window stickers called MORE
HUMMINGBIRDS, The Decorative Way to Reduce Bird Collisions on Windows from the Audubon
store. I affixed some of these to our picture window to prevent the Pine Siskins from
flying into the window. The stickers did not stop them from flying into the window, and
when they did the neighbor's Maine Coon cat was right there to finish them off! I was
pretty sick about it, as you can guess. The only good thing about this is that we are
having a lot fewer Pine Siskins than last year and there have not been any around since
then. I do hope that you have more success with the stickers than I did. Maybe if I
tried a different design, or a different color sticker, the result might be different, I
don't know.

G'day all;
We had a fatal window-strike by a Golden-Crowned Kinglet earlier today. I recollect
that there was a discussion along this line a few weeks ago. In it, someone mentioned a
material that could be affixed to windows in order to make them more visible to our
birdy friends.
I searched but was unable to come up with the correct words to find that post. If anyone
reading here could repost the name of that material, and where I can get it, I and my
little feathered friends would be MOST appreciative!
I don't want to lose another of those gorgeous creatures due to my neglect.
