Could only do a quick circuit in just over an hour
in the great sunshine, and mostly looked at the
waterbirds. Rewarded with 13 species of ducks
(possibly 14 or 15 if the disappearing duck that
looked like a Ringed Neck was indeed that and if
even one of the many Scaup was different than all
of the others). Shoveler, Mallard, Gadwall, Am.
Wigeon, Eur. Wigeon, Ruddy Duck, Bufflehead, Green
Winged Teal, Common and Hooded Mergansers, Wood
Duck, Canvasback (many), and Scaup. Other
appreciated birds were several Anna's Hummingbirds
including two displaying, juvenile Red Tail, 5
Marsh Wrens, and a small flock of Pine Siskins.
And it was VERY wet with all ponds at high levels
(and not a single bird on Shoveler's Pond).
