Eastside Audubon had a field trip to the West Seattle Shoreline, starting at Salty?s and ending up at Lincoln Park. The highlight was about 15 Surfbirds and 5 Black Turnstones resting on the rocks while waiting for the tide to go out so they could go back to feeding. They were about 15 feet away and gave excellent photo opportunities. They were along Harbor Ave. just at the turn where it turns west and becomes Alki Drive. We had a total of 34 species for the morning.
