Hey tweets,
Well I deployed the Snowy Owl sign at Damon Point early today. It remains to be seen how much trouble I will be in .. And more importantly, if the sign will help.
I went further out and saw 7 Snowy Owls, and about 20 people. In 15 minutes I watched 2 owls get flushed by photographers getting too close. One appeared to be within 20 feet ...
Grrrr ....
Highlights of The rest of the day:
All 3 SCOTER species The base of the point. SANDERLINGS on the walk out ..
I then went to Browns point jetty, saw 15 ROCK SANDPIPERS, 5 BLACK TURNSTONES, and about 15 SURFBIRDS.
found the EMPEROR GOOSE at the golf course with CANADA, CACKLING, & GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE. Saw a VIRGINIA RAIL.
2 BLACK OYSTERCATHERS at point Granville.
WESTERN and LEAST SANDPIPERS at the Hoquium STP, and an EARED GREBE.
About 20 GREATER YELLOWLEGS on Brady Loop. And about 60 TRUMPETER SWANS.
Was a food day ...
