As of Saturday morning we spotted 26 owls, perched in close - no binoculars
needed. As we were leaving, around 9:30, people with huge photo lenses
began to outnumber the owls. While there were mostly birders present, the
owls were stationary and very calm. Although folks stayed on the dikes with
their cameras, it was still too close - aggitating the owls who began to
fly around. Not such a good thing. The owls were all up close to the
entrance area at first so maybe they will adjust and move further down the
dike.



I'm sure the weekend pressure is the worst - really no way to keep folks
from trying to get their shots. Hopefully the birds have a chance to rest
more on weekdays

We had a great trip to Boundary Bay and saw 18 Snowy Owls when we went
almost 2 weeks ago. Are they still there?
