The Canada Geese at the Steigerwald Lake NWR nest on the tops of the cottonwood snags and in the Osprey nests, hatching their young out before the Osprey return in the Spring.

So, here was something new to me. I was at Steigerwald when a couple
Canada geese circled above me a few times... then landed in a tree. I
can't remember seeing something like that and I wondered what would
cause them to stop off at the top of an old snag? Maybe they were hawks
in a past life.

Then they took off, circled some more, then landed in a large bird of
prey nest.

Thought I'd share some pics with everyone.
