Hi Marvin,

I am guessing this is a juv. Broad-winged Hawk. Corpus Christi is in
migrating distribution range on some range maps. The heavy brown stripes on
both sides of neck look good for this buteo species in addition to its size,
shape and color.

I hope a raptor expert gives opinion.
