One more thing about the Chelan trip for the N. Hawk-Owl ? on our return to Seattle, we stretched our legs in a residential neighborhood in Leavenworth.
At a house about a block from Center St. and Ski Hill Dr., we found a birch tree with 45 or 50 Common Redpolls in it. No siskins, goldfinch etc mixed in with them.
And no Hoary Redpoll either.
