Birds are fantastic, but they are not the only critters in the sky. Spokane Dept of Parks and Rec, Washington Dept of Fish and Wildlife, and Riverside State Park will be presenting an evening of bat education from 7-11 pm on the nights of July 14th and August 25th (it's the same program on both nights). The events will include a brief lecture introducing the natural history of bats followed by close up field observation of some of the bats species in Riverside State Park. Biologists will live-capture bats and explain some of the field techniques used to study these fascinating creatures.
