While driving up to Hurricane Ridge in the Olympics this morning just past
the pay station we had a beautiful Mt. Lion (Cougar) cross the road in
front of us. What a surprise.

At the parking lot we found the trail covered with snow but the AMERICAN
PIPIT we sought flew to the snow patch gathering food then flew over the
edge.
