What a nice Saturday late afternoon sitting on our deck with the Zimmermans drinking margaritas watching about 30 Black Swifts fly over. We have been seeing them the last few evenings so it was wonderful to share them with our Seattle friends. We watched them until almost dusk when there were only a couple flying with a pair of Common Nighthawks. Killer Whales on the westside of the island the next day made for a great weekend (and we did not have to take the ferry anywhere!).
