Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday July 5. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

On July 4 a loudly calling SPOTTED REDSHANK was seen at Fern Ridge
Reservoir. It was in full breeding plumage. The bright, loudly singing
CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER continues at Indian Ford Campground. A BROWN THRASHER
was reported June 27 near Monroe.

The fall shorebird migration continues with an adult SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER
June 27 at Siltcoos Beach. A HUDSONIAN GODWIT is now being seen in company
with 50 WHIMBREL and 20 MARBLE GODWITS off the viewing blind on Trestle Bay
at the South Jetty of the Columbia River.

On June 27 two BLACK SWIFTS were at Bandon Beach. An EASTERN KINGBIRD was
seen July 2 at Finley NWR. On July 1 a MOCKINGBIRD and a colorful, singing
TOWNSEND?S WARBLER were seen near Creswell. On June 29 two VEERIES were
singing at Black Butte Swamp near Black Butte Ranch.
