On Friday morning, July 6, Jeanelle Richardson found a Painted Bunting along Siwash Creek Road east of Havillah Road in a riparian area where Siwash Creek Road crosses Siwash Creek in the Okanogan Highlands. Debbie Dain and I also saw and heard the brilliantly colored bird.
