First time to get to a computer today and I see
now why this morning's Bunting Hunting was for
naught. When Bud posted his Indigo Bunting
sighting at Sea-Tac, I contacted him (as
apparently did others) for more specific
directions. He kindly and quickly responded with
excellent information. I spent a couple of hours
there this morning hoping for a Lovely Indigo
bird. No such luck but it was a beautiful morning
and my back and forth covering the area gave me
good exercise and just figured the Indigo was
Indigone. Bud's correction gives the
explanation. Here is how I feel...

Very appreciative for his providing the
information in the first place and especially so
for giving the follow up specifics. Of course I
am disappointed in not seeing the bird and yes I
would not have tried if it had been noted as
"just" a Lazuli Bunting as beautiful as that bird
is. But Bud, we all have made similar mistakes,
and no ill thoughts at all. Thanks for all the
contributions you have made to the "community".

If you ever find or learn of a Bunting that is
indeed an Indigo, please give me a call.
