Subject: [Tweeters] Anacortes Martins

I once again find myself sitting at the Anacortes ferry terminal doing some
birding while waiting to go to Victoria.

I counted at least 11 PURPLE MARTINS sitting on the houses and pilings in
the bay and I believe there were more flying during my count. Other birds
scoped included many PELAGIC CORMORANTS, a single PIGEON GUILLEMOT, and
what seemed to be a BLACK SCOTER quite a ways out. I ran into a trio of
birders from Pennsylvania who are on their way to hopefully see Sky Larks.
