My birding pal John English and I spent today, Sunday pocking around the road to the coast, then south as far as Tokeland.? A very pleasant day if occasionally misty, but never real wet.? 35 to 40 birds w/o doing any major hiking.? Huge numbers of Caspian Terns at Graveyard Spit in Tokeland.? John reported a Prairie Falcon in the john at John's River, but I didn't believe him.? The John's River parking lot was alive with passerines including singing Swainson's Thrushes, Cedar Waxwings, several Yellowthroats, a House Wren, a Wilson's Warbler and a range of sparrows.
?
A nice day to be out and about.
