I?ve lived along the Clallam River for 7 years. And spent entirely too many hours sitting on it staring. But this is the first summer I?ve seen the barn swallows do this in the river. Its like their skipping into the water like a rock would skip. Is this normal? Are they catching flies. The video only has them doing it once, right at the very beginning.
