The Painted Bunting is basically right in our backyard, so to answer the
question in a prior post, unfortunately, it seems as if the PABU may have
moved on. That said, as soon as time allows we will check up and down the
creek as far as possible, and post if find him. If any of you are of a mind
to do the same, you might want to hone up on your poison oak spotting skills
as well. It isn't everywhere, but can be thick in certain places. Please
let us do the checking down stream from the road, as the best habitat is
either too close to our rental property, or pasture land we lease for cattle
grazing from time to time. If we do happen to find him on our property, we
will try our best to come up with a plan whereby everyone can have a chance
to see.
