A while ago, about 9:45 pm, I thought I saw a small bird flying past my rear window (lights out), silhouetted against the sky. It must've been late for its bedtime, I thought. Then a second, and a third. By that time I was thinking bats; probably one of the little Myotis species. It almost seems too chhilly for flying insects.
