When I arrived at the Lacey?reclamation?ponds yesterday morning our bald eaglet was in nest tearing something apart for breakfast. ?A half hour later Jr. had climbed out and was perched upright on a limb like a good and proper eagle giving the world a proper eagle stare. ?Jr. is pretty much adult size now and it's the first time I've seen him out of the nest. ?Flight training coming soon. ?He makes a great view in a scope but I have no long lens for pictures. ?Would make great pictures if you do. ? I've decided that baby eagles aren't cute or actually even pretty but they are fiercely beautiful. ?
