Hello All,

I made the long trek from Corvallis, Or, to see the Siwash Creek Painted Bunting. I arrived on Sunday, July 22, at 9:30 am. Since I was not positive that I was at the Coleman residence, I did not go on to the property, but birded from the road. I went up and down the road, listened to my recording of the PABU song, and searched some more. Just as I was about to leave, at 11:45 am, the Painted Bunting came out of the thick growth next to the creek chasing a Lazuli Bunting, and landed in the large Ponderosa Pine next to the road. It didn't stay long, though. The chasing continued and both birds landed in a dead-topped Aspen. Then they disappeared into the trees across the creek. Patience pays off. Thanks to all other posters.
