Subject: [Tweeters] Broad-tailed Hummingbird

This the response I got back from Cornell about Hummingbird I took photos
of on July 17 and thought it was a Broad-tailed but was a little confused.
I sent the photos and told the all the information.

CORNELL RESPONSE*** Thanks for sending the photos of the hummingbird. I can
understand why you?re not sure who this particular bird might be. I believe
it is a male Broad-tailed: the gorgets are always neatly defined, so the
"jagged edge" isn't too abnormal here, and the pink gorget, overall shape,
and green flanks also match Broad-tailed. We have more information about
all these hummers at www.allaboutbirds.org.
