Subject: [Tweeters] Painted Bunting Update

My job has not allowed for much bird watching this summer, but I finally got
a chance to check up the creek this morning for the PABU. As I suspected
all along, when it is not visible by our house along the creek, it has
simply moved up the creek 100-200 yards and is happily singing away, as it
doesn't seem to be so busy chasing LAZ.

One of the main reasons my primary searches have only been down the creek,
is because this is either on our property, or on our neighbors property.
The property that lies up the creek from the pond however, is owned by the
Colville Indian Tribe (long story), which has subdivided and sold some of
it. But, to my knowledge, the area where the PABU is hanging out is still
owned by the Tribe.

That said, if you venture on this property please walk softly (and watch out
for poison oak and an occasional rattle snake) and do not quote me as
"giving you permission." Or perhaps better yet, with a spotting scope or
binoculars, you can also see it from the side of the road is this area as
well. if it is not further down the creek by our house.

Have a good day, and God bless :)
