hi all ... I know lots of you folks are into butterflies as well as
birds ... Gene and I were up at Cloud Cap, Mount Hood last week
looking for Woodpeckers and Gray Jays ... found nothing exciting in
birds (other than a Townsends Solitaire in the burn area) but did
manage to photograph quite a few different butterflies ... here are
two from the backyard of the Cloud Cap Inn which I took a guess at as
to species, but frankly, I'm finding butterflies more difficult to ID
than birds ...if anyone can help me please respond off-line ... thanks, Lyn

Butterfly #1 ... only shot managed ... after looking at what seemed
like HUNDREDS of images online I took a guess --- Boisduval's Blue ???

Butterfly #2 ... am guessing female Northern Blue ??? ... this one
was about 40 feet closer to us than the previous butterfly and it
appeared to be slightly smaller to us ... managed three images ...
